About us

Welcome to the Power Systems Laboratory

The Power Systems Laboratory is part of the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) at the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZurich).
The scientific field of the Power Systems Laboratory comprises analysis and design of electric and integrated energy systems including their planning, design and operation.
The Power Systems Laboratory is giving courses in power systems analysis, design and control in the undergraduate program of electrical engineering at ETHZ. See further Education.
A main goal of our research is to develop methods of design, control and analysis based on system theory tools from e.g. control theory, optimisation, operations research, that can be used by engineers in the industry to solve actual problems. See further Research.
